Dr. Genevieve (Ivy) Javaluyas is an accomplished higher education administrator with more than 23 years of dedicated service at the American University of Health Sciences (AUHS), where she currently serves as Vice President of Operations. Her experience spans educational leadership, institutional administration, student affairs, accreditation, compliance, strategic planning, and organizational development.
Throughout her tenure at AUHS, Dr. Javaluyas has demonstrated a strong commitment to student success and institutional excellence. Previously serving as Executive Director of Student Affairs, she led initiatives that supported student engagement, academic achievement, and holistic development. As AUHS's Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO), she also plays a key role in institutional and programmatic accreditation, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
In recognition of her extensive experience, leadership, and in-depth knowledge of educational operations, Dr. Javaluyas was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the American University Research Academy (AURA). Her understanding of the administrative and organizational needs of educational institutions provides valuable guidance in strengthening AURA's governance, institutional effectiveness, student services, and academic programs.
Dr. Javaluyas earned her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership from Capella University, a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with an emphasis in Actuarial Science from the University of Santo Tomas.
Dr. Javaluyas brings a practical and forward-thinking perspective to AURA's Board of Trustees. Her ability to align institutional strategy with effective leadership helps ensure that AURA continues to grow responsibly while providing students with a supportive, well-structured, and high-quality educational environment.

Caroll Ryan, PhD

Dr. Carol Ryan is an accomplished higher education leader with more than 24 years of experience in executive leadership, administration, academics, and instruction. She has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the American University of Health Sciences (AUHS) since her appointment by the AUHS Board of Trustees in 2017.
Throughout her career, Dr. Ryan has been instrumental in developing and launching new academic programs and successfully leading accreditation initiatives with regional, national, and programmatic accrediting organizations. Her extensive knowledge of institutional effectiveness, academic quality, accreditation, and educational leadership has contributed significantly to the advancement of AUHS.
In recognition of her extensive experience and longstanding leadership at AUHS, Dr. Ryan was selected to serve as a member of the Board of Trustees of the American University Research Academy (AURA). Her experience in higher education, accreditation, academic program development, and institutional leadership provides valuable guidance in advancing AURA's academic standards, governance, and commitment to preparing students for higher education.
Dr. Ryan has served on numerous accreditation teams as an educational standards evaluator and subject matter expert for the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) and has contributed to its Research and Educational Standards Subcommittee and Appeals Panel. She has also chaired accreditation visits for the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).
Dr. Ryan earned her Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Fullerton, her Master of Arts from Azusa Pacific University, and her PhD from Northcentral University.
Her commitment to academic excellence, educational quality, and student success continues to strengthen AURA's mission of creating meaningful educational pathways that prepare students for college, professional careers, and lifelong success.

Pastor Gregory A. Johnson is the Co-Founder of the American University of Health Sciences (AUHS) and Co-Founder of the American University Research Academy (AURA). He brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in higher education, having served in senior executive roles including Chief Operating Officer and Vice President for private schools, colleges, and universities.
His extensive experience in institutional operations, business management, consulting, and healthcare education has been instrumental in the development and growth of AUHS and AURA. He has a deep understanding of the transformative power of education and its important role in addressing educational and healthcare disparities, particularly within underserved communities.
At the heart of Pastor Johnson’s leadership is his strong and unwavering faith in God. He believes that we are all loved by God and are His children, deserving of compassion, dignity, respect, and the opportunity to reach our fullest potential. His faith inspires his commitment to serving others and ensuring that education becomes a pathway to hope and opportunity.
Pastor Johnson is dedicated to creating educational opportunities that empower students, strengthen families, and uplift communities. Dr. Kim Dang
Co-Founder & Owner, American University of Health Sciences | Board Member, American University Research Academy (AURA)
Dr. Kim Dang is the Co-Founder and Owner of the American University of Health Sciences (AUHS) and a Board Member of the American University Research Academy (AURA). Drawing on her extensive experience in healthcare education, Dr. Dang helped establish AURA's educational pathways to AUHS healthcare programs, creating opportunities for high school students to begin preparing early for future studies and careers in nursing, pharmacy, and other health sciences fields.
Through the AURA–AUHS pathway, Dr. Dang helps students gain early exposure to healthcare education and prepare for future university studies and careers in the health sciences.
Dr. Dang received an Honorary Doctorate in Medical Education from St. Luke School of Medicine in 2002 and the Humanitarian Award from the Council of Black Nurses in 2016 for her service to underserved communities in the U.S. and abroad.
Dr. Dang is deeply dedicated to creating educational pathways that expand opportunities for students and strengthen the communities they serve. Her vision is centered on making quality education more accessible and empowering students with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to pursue higher education, meaningful careers, and a future of service to their communities.
